BB&O Golf Ltd are committed to managing County golf to the very highest standards and as such will ensure that policies and procedures are in place to ensure the safety and well being of staff, volunteers and competitors alike.
BB&O Disciplinary Procedure - BB&O County are responsible for the discipline of their county players, representatives and competitors playing in their events. This document details the way in which BB&O County will deal with alleged breaches of discipline. BB&O County will also hear appeals from members who have been subject to disciplinary actions carried out by BB&O Affiliated Clubs. These appeals must fall within the scope of competitive golf and will normally cover rules or handicap infringements, but may cover failures to co-operate with the operation of regulations. County Welfare Officer
John Kennedy is the BB&O Welfare Officer and is available to chat at most events or can be e mailed on secretary@bbogolf.com
What is a Welfare Officer?
A Welfare Officer is a person within every organisation who will be available to listen to any concerns or complaints that anybody may have if worried about how a child is being treated physically or mentally. They are not there to investigate or judge, simply to ensure that the appropriate next step is made to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the junior in question.
Who can talk to a Welfare Officer?
A Child / Junior Golfer - If you don't feel safe in any way at all A Parent - If you have any concern regarding your child or another child in the BB&O Programme. A Coach - If you are worried about the wellbeing of a junior golfer under your coaching care. A Volunteer - If you have any concerns about the wellbeing of a junior golfer attending events.
