BB&O Junior Events
BB&O run and support several junior events throughout the season. In order to compete in any BB&O junior event a parental consent form must be completed. Please find below a helpful guide to our junior events. Please note that most events are subject to your handicap being low enough to make you eligible to play.

If were under 18 on January 1st"¦
As you were 17 or younger on January 1st you are eligible for the BB&O Junior Events. The BB&O Order of Merit is a series of Junior Opens across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire that are arranged directly by the club but supported by the county. If you finish in the top 10 of any of these events, you will gain Order of Merit Points. At the end of the season the golfer with the most points will be awarded the BB&O Order of Merit Trophy.

The BB&O Junior Championship is the highlight of the year for junior golf within Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. It is a 36 holes scratch competition played over 1 day at a great venue. The winner becomes the Junior County Champion and goes on to represent BB&O at the National Final later in the year.

If your handicap is low enough you are also able to compete in other county events such as The Spring Trophy, The Amateur Championship, The Under 25s Championship and The Autumn Trophy.
If you were under 16 on January 1st"¦
As well as the above events, if you were 15 or under on January 1st and you have a handicap below 15.4 you are eligible to compete on the BB&O Futures Tour. This is a series of events running between April and October. Each event is 18 holes and played in a medal format. There is an Under 16 Futures Tour Order of Merit than runs alongside these events and if you finish in the top 15 you gain points which will accumulate all year until the Final at Frilford Heath. This tour is supported by Titleist and FootJoy. The winner of the Order of Merit wins a golf bag and prizes include vouchers and Titleist balls at each event. In order of compete on the Futures Tour, a £15 membership needs to be completed which also gives you a bag tag and a Futures Tour polo shirt. The entry fee for each event is £19.

At the BB&O Junior Championship there are also individual trophies for the BB&O U16 & U15 Champion Golfer of the year. This is a great event and gives you the chance to compete against some of the best juniors within Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

If you were 13 or under on January 1st and you have a handicap below 24.4 you are eligible to compete on the BB&O Futures Tour. This is a series of events that take place between April and October. Each event is 18 holes and played in a medal format. There is an Under 14 Futures Tour Order of Merit than runs alongside these events and if you finish in the top 15 you gain points which will accumulate all year until the Final at Frilford Heath. This tour is supported by Titleist and FootJoy. The winner of the Order of Merit wins a golf bag and prizes include vouchers and balls at each event. In order of compete on the Futures Tour, a £15 membership needs to be completed which also gives you a bag tag and a Futures Tour polo shirt. The entry fee for each event is £19.

The BB&O U14 Championship is an 18-hole medal played at Beaconsfield Golf Club. If your handicap is 24.4 or less, you are eligible to compete in this prestigious event. This is the pinnacle of Under 14 golf within Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

If your handicap is 9.4 or better, then you can compete in the Douglas Johns Trophy. This trophy is played at Harewood Downs Golf Club and attracts the best under 15s across the country. The Douglas Johns Trophy is recognised as the unofficial U15 Championship in England and past champions include Justin Rose and Marco Penge.

If you were under 12 on January 1st"¦
If you were 11 or under on January 1st and you have a handicap below 24.4 you are eligible to compete on the BB&O Futures Tour. This is a series of events running between April and October. Each event is 18 holes and played in a medal format. There is an Under 12 Futures Tour Order of Merit than runs alongside these events and if you finish in the top 15 you gain points which will accumulate all year until the Final at Frilford Heath. This tour is supported by Titleist and FootJoy. The winner of the Order of Merit wins a golf bag, and vouchers and Titleist golf ball prizes are up for grabs at each event. In order of compete on the Futures Tour, a £15 membership needs to be completed which also gives you a bag tag and a Futures Tour polo shirt. The entry fee for each event is £19.

The BB&O Under 12 Championship is an 18-hole medal played at Beaconsfield Golf Club alongside the Under 14 Championship. If your handicap is 24.4 or less, you are eligible to compete in this prestigious event. This is the pinnacle of Under 12 golf within Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

If your handicap is 24.5 and above or you don't have a handicap, you can compete in the BB&O U12 Development Tour. The Development Tour consists of a series of events between April - October over short / Par 3 courses. The events are split into two age categories with a first and second place awarded for Under 10s and Under 12s. At the end of the season there is a Final played at Billingbear Park where the winner will lift the Crisp Cup. The Development Tour is the starting point on the "Performance Pathway" providing the players with competitive golf at every age. In order to compete on the Development Tour, a £15 membership needs to be completed which also gives you a bag tag and a Development Tour polo shirt. The entry fee for each event is £10.
